10 years in prison required against the police officer

The official of the Economic and Financial Brigade (BEF), Dame Dalila Bissaloué prosecuted for theft of 17 million FCFA from the BEF appeared, this Monday, June 20, 2022, at the Court for the Repression of Economic Offenses and Terrorism (CRIET).

At the helm, Lady Dalila Bissaloué admitted having extracted the sum of 14 million FCFA and not 17 million FCFA.

The CRIET demanded 10 years in prison and a fine of 5 million FCFA against the defendant. Five (05 years) in prison were also required against the spouse of Lady Dalila Bissaloué prosecuted in the same case.

The file was put under deliberation for July 18 at the end of the debates and requisitions.

According to the facts, Lady Dalila Bissaloué extracted bundles of banknotes from the sealed files intended for the prosecution. The police officer then proceeded to replace the stolen tickets with paper cuts of the same dimensions. The pot-aux-roses was discovered during a routine check in May 2022.
