Analysis of BEAC data shows that over the period under review, Cameroon captured more than double the new loans granted to Gabonese economic, private and administrative operators. And almost three times more than those of the Republic of Congo.

This reality is all the more understandable since with a network of 18 approved banks, Cameroon, which also houses about 40% of the industrial fabric of CEMAC, according to various official data, has, all by itself, nearly 50 % of community banking network. This supremacy in the banking sector is even more marked in microfinance, whose Cameroonian network has more than 400 approved establishments.
