The year 2023 has been declared the year of youth by the Head of State, Alassane Ouattara has decreed 2023. The government through the Ministry for the Promotion of Youth, Professional Integration and Civic Service decides to ‘accompany Côte d’Ivoire Innovation (CI20) for the materialization of this will of the President of the Republic in concrete action.
The projects of Côte d’Ivoire Innovation (CI20), a college of technology companies led by young Ivorians will be financed thanks to the Startup Boost Capital initiative, the launch of which took place this Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire.
“Startups Boost Capital” is a funding initiative for start-ups via an MFI in the form of a medium-term loan (12-60 months max) with a rate of 8% including tax/year. For the first year, it has an overall envelope of 1,000,000,000 FCFA and nearly one million digital projects will be financed.
“This fund is for all startups. A selection committee will be set up with CI 20, the Ministry of Communication and the Digital Economy, other experts will periodically analyze the business plan of the young people. Those who provide innovative solutions and who demonstrate a strong capacity for job creation will be funded. “, assured Mamadou Touré.

According to him, the selection committee set up will be totally independent and the funding cap for this first year is 50 million FCFA.
“Between 2020-2022, 2,847 young people have benefited from state support in various programs in the digital field for an amount of just over 577 million FCFA”, recalled the Minister for the Promotion of the youth.
Amadou Coulibaly, Minister of Communication and the Digital Economy, congratulated and encouraged the leaders of the CI20 Association, which supports the Ministry for the Promotion of Youth, Professional Integration and Civic Service in this ambitious system of accompaniment of young entrepreneurs in the field of technology, innovation and all other sectors of startups in Côte d’Ivoire.
He reaffirmed that the Government is resolutely committed to making the Ivorian Youth a responsible and accomplished youth on the triple moral, civic and professional level which has a culture of work and enterprise.
