Ivory Coast: In Tafiré, at home, the VPR Koné announces a hospital in 11 months, roads, inaugurates a COOPEC agency and the great mosque in Katiola

Launch of sanitary infrastructure works on Friday at Tafire with the VPR Koné

On the second day of his working visit to the Region of Hambolhis home at Tafirethe vice president Tiemoko Kone proceeded to the official launch of the road and sanitary infrastructure works in the city before inaugurating a branch SACCO and the Great Mosque of Katiola while performing and a visit to the Catholic Clergy.

The road infrastructure works launched by President Ouattara’s liege consist of the redevelopment of 1.5 km and the asphalting of 8.5 km of roads in the city of Tafirefor a total cost of nearly 7.5 billion FCFA.

For the health component, it involves rehabilitation and strengthening of the technical platform of the health center of Tafire, for an investment of 4.8 billion FCFA. The Vice-President launched the rehabilitation and equipment works of the urban health center (CSU) of Tafire which will eventually become a General Hospital (HG) in 11 months.

“The Minister of Health informed us that the Head of State was good enough to relieve the populations by ordering the rehabilitation and equipment of the CSU of Tafire and who will become an HG”, he rejoiced.

The works will make it possible to go from a capacity of 12 beds to more than 70 beds, including 3 intensive care beds.

After Tafirethe Vice-President of the Republic went to Katiolawhere he took part in the inauguration ceremony of the great mosqueand of this city.

The President of the Superior Council of Imams, Mosques and Islamic Affairs (COSIM), Cheick Al Aïma Ousmane DIAKITE, on this occasion, formulated prayers for the President of the Republic, HE Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, the Vice-President as well as than the entire Government and people of Côte d’Ivoire.

The Religious Leader congratulated the Head of State for the lesson of patience and greatness he gave to the whole world in the management of the case of the 49 Ivorian soldiers previously detained in Mali.

At the end of this ceremony, the former Governor of the BCEAO went to the Cathedral of Katiola for a courtesy visit to the Diocesan Administrator, Monseigneur Félix Gninnantchinni Coulibaly.

It should be noted that the Vice-President of the Republic also proceeded to the inauguration of the premises and the official opening of the local microfinance agency SACCO of the city of Tafire.

The working visit of the Vice-President of the Republic will end this Saturday, January 28, 2023, in the city of Katiolawith a ceremony of homage to the populations of Hambol to President Alassane Ouattara, for all his achievements and actions in favor of the populations of this region, and a meeting of exchanges with the traditional chiefs, the elected officials and executives of the Region of Hambol.
