The evangelical Christian microfinance institution MicroAid, officially opened on July 29, 2022, the doors of its brand new agency located in Zaabr – Daaga. This new infrastructure brings the products and services that the financial institution offers closer to its more than 12,000 customers and members spread across the city of Ouagadougou and to its future potential customers.
The new MicroAid agency inaugurated today is located on the ground floor of the Church of the Assemblies of God Schekina in Zaabr – Daaga. Covering an area of 180 m², the infrastructure essentially comprises a waiting hall for customers, counters for operations, services dedicated to credits, communication and marketing as well as audits, not to mention the offices. of the first leaders of the institution. This new agency, which is also the headquarters of MicroAid, is the third of the institution which already had premises in the Goughin and Baskuy districts of the city of Ouagadougou.

Created in 2006 and operational since 2008, MicroAid is a savings and credit union, which aims to contribute to the fight against poverty, by facilitating access to financial products and services. It is in this sense that the institution offers financing solutions to development initiatives.
According to the chairman of the board of directors Elisée Ouédraogo, these are credits granted in the sectors of trade, education, agriculture and livestock, crafts as well as in any legal income-generating activity. . After about 15 years of existence. MicroAid has more than 12,000 members, 27 permanent employees and 1.5 billion FCFA in loans granted to vulnerable people in 2021.
