More than 7 billion in financing already injected

In its mission to support the private sector in Senegal, in the Senegalese diaspora, and particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, PLASEPRI launched this Wednesday, the process of sustainability of the platform. A workshop to share the methodological guidance note with the members of the Steering Committee was organized in the presence of the national coordinator, Oumar Cissé.

Indeed, this program implemented by Italian cooperation, the government of Senegal and the European Union, aims to contribute to the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and the revitalization of the private sector in order to strengthen the local economic potential and that of of the Senegalese diaspora in Italy.

For this second phase, “more than 7 billion in funding have already been injected”, announces the coordinator of the platform. On the microfinance line, 1.5 million CFA francs and on the SME line, 5.5 billion CFA francs have already been financed. This gives a total of 7 billion between 2019 and the end of 2022. However, there are still resources according to the PLASEPRI coordinator who reassures that by the end of the phase, the 10 billion mark will be reached.
