The Vice-President of the Republic continued his 72-hour working visit to the Hambol region

The Vice-President of the Republic, Mr. Tiémoko Meyliet KONE, proceeded this Friday, January 27, 2023, on the second day of his working visit to the Hambol Region, to the official launch of road and health infrastructure works in the city. of Tafiré, as well as the inauguration of the Great Mosque of Katiola and a visit to the Catholic Clergy.

The road infrastructure works launched by Vice-President Tiémoko Meyliet KONE, consist of the redevelopment of 1.5 km and the asphalting of 8.5 km of roads in the city of Tafiré, for a total cost of nearly 7, 5 billion FCFA.

For the health component, it involves the rehabilitation and strengthening of the technical platform of the health center of Tafiré, for an investment of 4.8 billion FCFA.

After Tafiré, the Vice-President of the Republic went to Katiola, where he took part in the inauguration ceremony of the great mosque of this city.

The President of the Superior Council of Imams, Mosques and Islamic Affairs (COSIM), Cheick Al Aïma Ousmane DIAKITE, on this occasion, formulated prayers for the President of the Republic, HE Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, the Vice-President as well as than the entire Government and people of Côte d’Ivoire.

The Religious Leader congratulated the Head of State for the lesson of patience and greatness he gave to the whole world in the management of the case of the 49 Ivorian soldiers previously detained in Mali.

At the end of this ceremony, the Vice-President Tiémoko Meyliet KONE went to the Cathedral of Katiola for a courtesy visit to the Diocesan Administrator, Monseigneur Félix Gninnantchinni COULIBALY.

It should be noted that the Vice-President of the Republic also proceeded to the inauguration of the premises and the official opening of the local COOPEC microfinance agency in the city of Tafiré.

The working visit of the Vice-President of the Republic will end on Saturday January 28, 2023, in the city of Katiola, with a ceremony of tribute from the populations of Hambol to President Alassane OUATTARA, for all his achievements and actions in favor of the populations of this region, and a meeting of exchanges with the traditional chiefs, the elected officials and executives of the Region of Hambol.
